This second story, 103sqm apartment in a monument building situated on the east bank of the Amstel River is the perfect place from which to enjoy a magnificent sunset over the rooftops of old Amsterdam.

An ideal home for the modern adult whose life and work both reflect the contemporary style. At day’s end it provides the optimal space from which to enjoy the simple pleasures in life, such as good company and cooking.

The open plan kitchen in the double parlour is visually and physically connected to the living room by the intricate herringbone pattern of the oak floor, while raising the floor of an open side room with a large window creates an indoor patio that doubles as a workplace. Modernity is not a theory: it’s about everyday life.
